Queensland had close to 28,000 Sikhs at the 2021 census, most in Brisbane’s southern suburbs and a growing number on the Gold Coast.

The Woolloongabba gurdwara is the oldest in the city; the southside around Eight Mile Plains is where the newer community has settled.

The South Asian community in Brisbane is strongest in Eight Mile Plains, Calamvale, Runcorn, Sunnybank Hills and Springfield, and the Sikh community gathers around the gurdwaras in Woolloongabba and Eight Mile Plains. Can my parents be involved?

Yes. Family can pay for a son’s membership, can see a Family View page you choose the contents of, and can speak to your matchmaker with your consent. What they can’t do is create or run a profile for someone who hasn’t agreed to it.

Can I filter by kesh and by community?

A note from the founder

I spent six months on a paid plan on the biggest matrimonial site in the world, searching honestly for someone to marry from here. I found roughly ten men for every woman, a paid plan that produced nothing, and a fake profile I could make in minutes.
