Every man here is ID-verified. You see his photos; he sees yours only after you approve him. Your phone and email are never shown to anyone. Photos appear when she approves your request. Every interest you send carries a note you wrote, so make it count. Her contact details are never shown; she shares them if she wants to.
Marathi is spoken at home by a growing community in Australia, most of it arrived through skilled migration and concentrated in Melbourne and Sydney.
The South Asian community in Brisbane is strongest in Eight Mile Plains, Calamvale, Runcorn, Sunnybank Hills and Springfield. Those are also the places a search on Rishta tends to start, though most members open theirs to the whole city and often to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane too.
Marathi families here are a smaller community than the Punjabi or Gujarati ones, and that is the practical problem: the pool in any one city is thin. Rishta lets you set mother tongue as a preference without confining the search to your own city, shows you honestly how many people match before you commit to a filter, and has a matchmaker who can look further when the numbers are against you.
Built in, not promised
Filters Marathis here actually use: Marathi mother tongue · Community, or no bar · Vegetarian · Open to relocating · Citizen, PR or visa.
A note from the founder
I spent six months on a paid plan on the biggest matrimonial site in the world, searching honestly for someone to marry from here. I found roughly ten men for every woman, a paid plan that produced nothing, and a fake profile I could make in minutes.
Rishta is what I wished had existed: women free with nothing held back, photos hidden until she says yes, every man verified, every interest written by hand, no phone numbers on the page, and a matchmaker who is never from your city. I built it because I am looking too.
